Catfish.

‘Catfish’ is a term used to describe an individual who pretends to be someone else using an online profile, ultimately to engage in romances based on deception. I believe it is safe to expand the definition to cover those individuals who pretend to be someone they’re not to get sex from women. Ladies, we’ve all had an experience or two with “Mr. Prince Charming”- The one guy who woos and romances you, and begins to make you reconsider the belief that your perfect guy doesn’t exist. And, just when you’ve decided to pull him into your love boat, he rears his ugly head from beneath the waves, and you feel tricked. Shocked that something that felt so promising turned out to be everything but. When you see him clearly, the true nature of your guy turns you off completely.

One could argue that this guy was simply trying to show a girl a good time, and how else would we ever get closer to meeting our soul mates if we never gave love a chance? That’s only reasonable if “Mr. Prince Charming” actually cared about finding love. His job is to charm, not marry you. So, true to form, he does what he knows you like. He says what you want to hear, all the while not having any intention of loving you. This, my friends, is also a catfish. This man is most deceptive. He hides not behind a computer screen, but behind the fact that we’re all looking for love.
